Timotheé Chalamet is going to sing for himself in a movie about Bob Dylan’s life. Director James Mangold revealed this news at an event for Star Wars. He said that shooting will start in August. It sounds like a very interesting story and we’re trying to contact someone from Chalamet and Mangold’s teams for comments on this.
In 2020, a project was announced with the title ‘Going Electric’ and it had actors Mangold and Chalamet attached to it. It is a story about the early years of Dylan in New York City. Mangold said that the film will feature Woody Guthrie, Pete Seeger, and Joan Baez, but he did not tell who would play those roles. So far there isn’t any information on when the movie will be released. Mangold’s upcoming project Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny will come out on June 30th, only one day before Dylan sings at the 2023 Montreux Jazz Festival.
