Quavo has just revealed his latest album, titled Rocket Power. The renowned Migos rapper presented the forthcoming LP via a trailer that showcases an enormous CGI rocket ready for a space launch, with Quavo himself rapping in its foreground. The album is set to drop on August 4th. The trailer is available below.
Along with the video, Quavo released a statement expressing: “This Album Represents All My Feelings. I’ve learned how to transmute tragedy into triumph during my healing process. I had to delve into my core purpose and find the strength to persist. To my fans, thank you for your patience and your unwavering support. To my FAMILY, even in the face of adversity, we know our PRIMARY goal is to keep the Rocket name THRIVING. FOREVER.”
Rocket Power will serve as Quavo’s first album since the tragic demise of fellow Migos member Takeoff, who was fatally shot outside a Houston, Texas, bowling alley in November 2022. Takeoff’s last album, The Last Rocket, came out in 2018. Earlier this month, a new song titled “Turn Yo Clic Up” was released, a collaboration between Quavo and Future, following recent singles “Greatness” and “Honey Bun.”

Just before Takeoff’s unfortunate death, he and Quavo had released their combined LP, Only Built for Infinity Links. Earlier in the year, Quavo paid a heartfelt tribute to his late nephew with a song titled “Without You,” which he first performed at the Grammy Awards in collaboration with Maverick City Music as part of the ceremony’s in memoriam segment. Quavo’s first album, QUAVO HUNCHO, debuted in 2018. The last album from Migos, Culture III, was launched in 2021.
