Timotheé Chalamet, an actor, is going to be singing in a new movie about Bob Dylan. Director James Mangold said that the movie will start to film in August. He also explained why it was a special project: “It’s about a really interesting part of American culture.” We contacted people who work for Chalamet and Mangold but so far we haven’t heard back from them.
In 2020, a movie called Going Electric was first announced with director James Mangold and actor Timothée Chalamet. The film will include the stories of young Bob Dylan’s life and experiences in New York City along with Woody Guthrie, Pete Seeger, and Joan Baez as characters. We don’t know when the movie will come out yet but one day before Dylan performs at the 2023 Montreux Jazz Festival, June 30th, Mangold’s next project Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny will be released.
