A brief history reminder: Minakakis, along with Ben Weinman and others, kickstarted the Dillinger Escape Plan in 1997. He parted ways with the band in 2001, making way for Greg Puciato. The band announced an “extended hiatus” following their 2016 album, Dissociation. They performed what were thought to be their final gigs in December 2017 at New York’s Terminal 5, featuring Minakakis in the last two shows.
