In a new collaborative effort, Pharrell Williams and the acclaimed gospel choir, Voices of Fire, have released a song titled “Joy (Unspeakable)”. Hailing from Hampton Roads, Virginia, the same home state as Williams, the choir was established by Bishop Ezekiel Williams, who is also Pharrell’s uncle. You can check out “Joy (Unspeakable)” below.

In a recent press release, Bishop Ezekiel Williams expressed his appreciation for working with Pharrell, describing the experience as deeply inspiring and motivating. He went on to say, “When this dream team – Pharrell, Voices of Fire, Pastor Larry George, and myself – finally united on this track, I felt that our time in the studio was destined.”

Voices of Fire was the focus of a Netflix documentary series of the same name, providing an insight into their unique journey. The distinctive gospel choir was formed by Bishop Ezekiel Williams after a series of auditions in Hampton Roads.

Earlier in the week, Williams previewed a portion of “Joy (Unspeakable)” on his social media platforms. The singer-songwriter and record producer is currently preparing to reveal his inaugural collection for Louis Vuitton menswear. He assumed the role of creative director for the esteemed fashion label in February, following the demise of Virgil Abloh in November 2021. Williams has also recently unveiled a fresh advertising campaign for Louis Vuitton, with a colossal billboard in Paris showcasing a pregnant Rihanna carrying numerous Louis Vuitton leather bags, and a takeout coffee.

In the previous month, Williams made his first musical collaboration of the year on the Kaytraminé track “4eva”. His 2022 portfolio includes collaborations with Tyler, the Creator and 21 Savage on “Cash In Cash Out”, as well as with Calvin Harris, Justin Timberlake, Halsey on “Stay With Me”, and Travis Scott on “Down in Atlanta”.

Unfortunately, the final day of the Something in the Water 2023 music festival, organized by Williams, had to be called off in April due to extreme weather conditions.
