Neil Young has announced that his long-lost 1977 album, Chrome Dreams, will finally be available for public release on August 11, through Reprise Records. The album, consisting of 12 tracks recorded over a period from 1974 to 1977, comprises various original compositions which were later reimagined or reused on other projects. This includes “Powderfinger” and “Pocahontas”, which appeared in later release Rust Never Sleeps, as well as “Sedan Delivery” and “Hold Back the Tears”, which were subsequently reinvented with fresh lyrics. “Stringman” is another notable inclusion in the album. Recently, Young also revealed plans for his first touring stint in several years. The tour will be a solo acoustic endeavor and will include songs that Young has never performed live before.
