Mount Eerie Hits the Road Again, New Album Is in the Works

by admin

Phil Elverum is hitting the road! He’s got some shows coming up in May and June, and he’ll be playing new songs at those shows from an upcoming album. For the concerts in the US, it will just be him and someone else as a duo band and Phil says that they are already sounding really good together. Check out all of the tour dates here or get your tickets now!

Mount Eerie is going to Chicago and Brussels. In Chicago, he’ll be talking to Hrishikesh Hirway. And in Brussels, it’s for Harry Smith’s 100th birthday with film screenings and a talk by Elverum. His new album is Lost Wisdom Pt. 2 from 2019 which was made with Julie Doiron.

I’ll be performing across the US, Belgium, Germany, Ireland, England, Finland and Denmark over the following dates:

May 5 – Philadelphia (PA) at First Unitarian Church Sanctuary; May 6 – Brooklyn (NY) at Pioneer Works; May 7 – Round Top (NY) at Glen Falls House; May 9 – Chicago (IL) at Old Town School of Folk Music; May 28-29 – Brussels (Belgium) at l’Ancienne Belgique; May 31 – Genk (Belgium) at Sint-Albertus; June 1 – Cologne (Germany) at Urania Theatre; June 10 – Cork (Ireland) at Seanie Buttons; June 11 – Dublin (Ireland) at Whelan’s; June 13 – London (England) at Grand Junction; June 15 Helsinki (Finland)at Temppeliaukio Church, and June 22 Copenhagen Denmark at Poesiens Hus.

Karl Blau, Country Gravel and Goodtime John are all musical acts playing together. Emily Sprague is also with them but plays instruments rather than sing.
