Moses Sumney and Halsey have been chosen to appear in Ti West’s horror film named MaXXXine, which is the third movie from his X series. It will be distributed by A24, with Mia Goth as the lead star. Other celebrities who are part of this cast include Kevin Bacon, Lily Collins, Bobby Cannavale, Elizabeth Debicki, Michelle Monaghan and Giancarlo Esposito. Sumney and Halsey have both done acting in movies and TV shows. Sumney was in Creed, Random Acts of Flyness, and The Idol which is coming to HBO. Halsey has been in American Dad, Teen Titans Go! To the Movies, Roadies, A Star Is Born and more.
Director West’s newest movie takes place in the 1980s, right after X happened. The story is about Maxine, an aspiring actress trying to make it big in Los Angeles. A sneak peek of the movie was shown at the end of Pearl, which came out last September.
Last year, a movie called X came out that showed some people who wanted to make a porn film on a creepy farm. It featured Goth, Kid Cudi, Jenna Ortega and Brittany Snow in it. During the credits, another movie called Pearl was advertised as a prequel to X.
MaXXXine is a new movie written and directed by West which will start filming this month.
