After her hospitalization due to a severe bacterial infection in late June, Madonna has finally opened up, asserting she’s on a healing path. “My initial thought waking up in the hospital was about my children,” she expressed, showing gratitude for her fans’ good wishes. Further elaborating, Madonna said, “I was equally concerned about letting down the team who worked round the clock with me over the previous months in developing my performance. It distresses me to let anyone down.” She aims to reschedule the North American part of her Celebration Tour, initially set to commence on July 15 in Vancouver. This change will occur after the European segment, which is expected to proceed as scheduled in October. “My attention now is directed towards my health, becoming stronger. I assure you I will return as quickly as I am able,” she added.

Following the tour’s postponement, her veteran manager, Guy Oseary, confirmed that Madonna had spent multiple days in the ICU and would “need to pause all commitments, including the tour.” Since announcing the tour dates in January, Madonna has debuted songs with Sam Smith (“Vulgar”) and the Weeknd (“Popular”).
