The start of the band’s extensive North American tour, the End Is Nero Tour, in support of their new album, begins tonight. Kicking off with a performance in Detroit, the Queens of the Stone Age will continue to tour through key cities such as Philadelphia, New York City, Chicago, Oklahoma City, Vancouver, and San Francisco. The tour will wrap up on October 8 in Sacramento, California. Phantogram, the Armed, Viagra Boys, and Jehnny Beth will serve as the opening acts on selected dates.
The latest album, In Times New Roman…, also includes popular singles such as “Emotion Sickness,” “Paper Machete,” and “Carnavoyeur.” The band’s lead singer, Joshua Homme, disclosed last year that he was diagnosed with cancer. During an interview with Revolver’s Steve Appleford, he shared that his cancer was successfully removed through surgery. Homme urged, “I never claim things can’t get any worse. I would never advise anyone to say that, but I always affirm it can get better.”
