Chino Moreno of Deftones and multi-talented producer Shawn Lopez, who form the duo ††† (Crosses), have unveiled plans for their first album in close to ten years. The album, titled Goodnight, God Bless, I Love U, Delete., is scheduled for release on October 13 through Warner, signifying their first major label introduction.
The forthcoming album boasts contributions from Robert Smith of the Cure and El-P from Run the Jewels. Alongside the album announcement, ††† has released the “Invisible Hand” single, accompanied by a music video. In a press statement, Moreno explained, “While creating Goodnight, God Bless, I Love U, Delete., I noticed a lot more positivity in my life for various reasons. The outlook is significantly more optimistic. Even the darker aspects have been presented in a more romantic light rather than a despairing one.”
In 2014, ††† launched their self-titled debut. Last year, they put out the six-track Permanent.Radiant EP, which was later refreshed with song enhancements by Hudson Mohawke, Machinedrum, Suicideyear, and Away.
