Animal Collective is gearing up to release a fresh album, Isn’t It Now?, which will drop on September 29 via Domino. The album, Isn’t It Now?, will include a 22-minute opus titled “Defeat,” which Animal Collective plans to release on a 12-inch vinyl in August. A live rendition of another fresh song called “The Challenge” will serve as the B-side of “Defeat,” although it’s not included in Isn’t It Now?. The song “King’s Walk,” performed by the band during their episode of the “Tiny Desk (Home) Concert” series, also finds its place in the forthcoming album.
Animal Collective’s previous album release was Time Skiffs, which came out in early 2022. Per a press statement, Isn’t It Now? is the band’s most extended album to date, clocking in at a total duration of 64 minutes.
